Welcome to the official website for British and international selling modern contemporary artist Fabrizio Van Marciano.
Fabrizio’s unmistakably unique style of hand-painted original canvas paintings will bring any living wall space to life.
His work is inspired by the area of outstanding natural beauty surrounding the Devon and Cornish coastline and countryside.
How it all began
Fabrizio has always had a passion for painting and drawing.
During his teens, he would often spend the summer painting and drawing sunsets while on family holidays in Cornwall and South Devon.
Fabrizio grew up around the North Devon and North Cornwall area, so he’s always had plenty of inspiration to fuel his works of art.
Fabrizio started his career as an artist in 2003, selling mainly at local art stalls and craft shows throughout the South West of England.
It was around the end of 2005 and the start of 2006 was when Fabrizio’s work started to really gain traction, with the launch of his first website.
Fabrizio also leveraged platforms such as eBay, Yessy Art and more recently Etsy to promote and sell his work online.
Over the last 15 years, Fabrizio has experimented with a variety of mediums, including using Oils, acrylics, and Gouache. And also trying out a variety of styles.
Fabrizio found his unique style around 2005, creating large colorful seascape paintings on multiple deep-edged canvas surfaces known as triptychs.
A triptych is a large panoramic scene made up of three smaller canvas panels.
In 2015, after taking a short break from painting due suffering from a Repetitive Strain Injury, Fabrizio began experimenting with new styles again, this time trying his hand at smaller, rural-themed, quirky landscape scenes depicting life in Devon and Cornwall.
Fabrizio spent a very short time living on a farm many years ago, and farming life somewhat inspired this style of painting.
